Automated ISO 20022 host-to-host treasury and real-time tax clearance engine

Every bank statement reconciled automatically and every e-invoice cleared in real time, for a Tier-1 GCC bank.

At a glance

  • Client

A Tier-1 GCC commercial bank and regional conglomerate, anonymised under NDA.

  • Team

1 principal integration architect (the in-house lead), 3 senior ERP and banking engineers and 1 security and PKI specialist

  • Duration

14 weeks, from the Track B Blueprint to go-live

The challenge

The institution relied on fragmented MT940 batch file transfers, manual multi-currency treasury reconciliations across 14 bank accounts, and ERP invoicing modules that were not connected to each other. That put it at risk of failing the mandatory continuous transaction controls of Saudi ZATCA Phase 2 and the UAE’s PINT-AE.

What we built and connected

  1. An event-driven middleware mesh to the banks

We connected SAP S/4HANA directly to regional banking rails through ISO 20022 XML messages (pain.001, camt.053 and pacs.008), with cryptographic signing and automated dead-letter exception queues.

  2. Real-time e-invoice clearance

A real-time pipeline for cryptographic stamping, QR code generation and clearance under ZATCA Phase 2 and PINT-AE, with sub-second validation by the tax authority.

  3. Automated reconciliation

Automated multi-currency general ledger reconciliation, which ended manual CSV uploads and end-of-month spreadsheet adjustments.

XSIS didn’t just give us an integration diagram — their principal engineers took full ownership of our SAP-to-bank ISO 20022 pipelines and tax clearance APIs until every single transaction reconciled automatically.

Start with a conversation, not a contract.

Tell us what you need to build, connect or secure. An architect goes through it with you, then recommends where to start.

What happens next

  1. Agreeing a time

Our team emails you to agree a time for the session.

  2. Pre-consulting session

A free 30-minute online pre-consulting session: we go through your goals, systems and constraints.

  3. Readiness review

In a free 48-hour readiness review, a Principal Architect checks your project against the 6-point Definition of Ready and recommends the track that fits.

  4. Choosing the track

Scope-ready projects receive a binding proposal within 3–5 business days. Concept-stage projects start in the Blueprint Studio. A live system that is failing, undocumented or needs integration starts with a diagnostic of 1–2 weeks. The Blueprint Studio and the diagnostic each have a fixed fee, quoted in the proposal.
