Case studies

Real-time POS-to-ERP synchronisation and a high-concurrency omnichannel commerce engine

Store terminals, online checkout and the central ERP ledger in step, in real time, for a multi-brand GCC retailer.

At a glance

  • Client

A multi-brand GCC retail and mall conglomerate with 800+ POS terminals and e-commerce storefronts.

  • Team

1 in-house principal solution architect, 4 senior back-end and POS integration engineers and 1 autonomous QA engineer

  • Duration

    16 weeks

The challenge

Store point-of-sale terminals, e-commerce storefronts and warehouse ERPs ran on delayed 12-hour batch syncs. Inventory was oversold during peak promotions, card settlement reconciliation across acquirers lagged, and checkout was slow.

What we built and connected

  1. Real-time event streaming

We replaced brittle overnight batch scripts with a high-concurrency event streaming layer that synchronises store sales, returns, promotions and SKU stock levels with the central ERP in real time.

  2. Multi-acquirer payment orchestration

One gateway orchestration across Visa, Mastercard and regional GCC switches, with automated T+1 settlement file ingestion and fee auditing.

  3. Inventory reservation under flash-sale load

An ultra-low-latency inventory reservation microservice that absorbs flash-sale traffic spikes without database lock-ups.

For the first time, our store terminals, online checkout, and central ERP ledger speak the exact same language in real time.

Start with a conversation, not a contract.

Tell us what you need to build, connect or secure. An architect goes through it with you, then recommends where to start.

What happens next

  1. Agreeing a time

Our team emails you to agree a time for the session.

  2. Pre-consulting session

A free 30-minute online pre-consulting session: we go through your goals, systems and constraints.

  3. Readiness review

In a free 48-hour readiness review, a Principal Architect checks your project against the 6-point Definition of Ready and recommends the track that fits.

  4. Choosing the track

Scope-ready projects receive a binding proposal within 3–5 business days. Concept-stage projects start in the Blueprint Studio. A live system that is failing, undocumented or needs integration starts with a diagnostic of 1–2 weeks. The Blueprint Studio and the diagnostic each have a fixed fee, quoted in the proposal.
