Oracle

We move Oracle databases and Fusion applications together, with performance tested before each cutover.

What We Do on Oracle

Oracle work starts with the dependency between database and application. A change to one affects the other, so we plan them together. The named engagements are a database move to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and a Fusion Cloud Applications build for finance, supply or people. A performance tuning service follows. A bank and tax integration and a customisation review complete the list.

Oracle Database holds the records and OCI supplies the cloud services around it. Fusion Cloud Applications cover finance, supply and people. Migration and upgrades run in planned steps, with a tested route back. Performance is measured with real volumes before any switch.

You provide the database owners, the application owners and the access. You decide what moves to OCI and what stays. The plan records both, with a performance baseline for each system.

Where These Projects Go Wrong

Oracle failures surface under real load. We move the proof earlier.

  • Performance Found at Go-Live

A query that ran in test fails under real load. We test with real volumes before the switch and tune the parts that matter.

  • Database and Application Move Apart

Separate teams change the database and the applications, and the interface breaks. We plan the two together with one owner for the cutover.

  • Customisations Block Upgrades

Every custom change increases the next upgrade's cost. We move extensions out where possible and document what remains.

How a Project Starts

The opening stage measures the estate as it runs today, not as the diagram says.

  1. Map Dependencies

We inventory databases, applications and interfaces. You receive a dependency map and a performance baseline. You decide what moves first.

  2. Choose the Path

We compare OCI with your current platform and set the target architecture. The architecture comes with a test plan and a cost comparison. You approve the path before the build.

  3. Rehearse the Cutover

We run the migration against a copy of the estate and tune what fails. The measured result and the way back come to you. You set the cutover date.

Questions

The questions buyers ask at the start of Oracle work.

Should we move our Oracle databases to OCI?

It depends on performance, cost and control. We compare OCI with your current platform and show the trade-offs. You decide with the numbers in front of you.

Do you implement Oracle Fusion applications?

Yes. We implement Fusion finance, supply and people modules, with the integrations and reporting around them.

How do you protect performance?

We test with real data volumes before go-live, then monitor the queries that matter. A slow query is found before users see it.

Can you make upgrades easier?

We move custom code out where possible and document what remains. Each upgrade then has less to break.

Do you support the estate after launch?

Yes. We patch, monitor and tune the estate, with a named owner and a monthly review.
