Turn an idea into a specification you can build, price and own

A clear goal, but no specification yet

Many projects begin as a goal, such as a custom CRM, a citizen portal or an AI agent, without screens, workflows or a chosen stack. Pricing a build at that point is guesswork.

Fixed prices on unarchitected ideas lead to change orders, disputes and failed projects. Executives need to see and test the product before they commit the budget.

What you get

  1. Leaders aligned

Executives aligned on the vision, the measures of success and the first release.

  2. A validated specification

A specification, architecture and prototype your stakeholders have validated.

  3. A fixed price you can trust

A binding fixed-price proposal for the build, based on what was designed.

  4. A blueprint you own

A blueprint you own, written in vendor-neutral standards.

What we deliver

  • Executive digital and AI strategy sessions

Sessions with your leadership to map opportunities, agree priorities and shape a transformation roadmap.

  • Technical deep-dive sessions

On-site and remote architecture reviews with your engineers, covering systems, integrations, data and security.

  • Proofs of concept and rapid agentic prototyping

Interactive workshops that build a working proof of concept (POC) or agent prototype, so stakeholders test the idea on real tools.

  • Project discovery and tender specifications

Scope definition, technical specifications for an RFP or public tender, and a delivery roadmap.

  • MVP strategy and commercial viability

The scope of a minimum viable product (MVP), and a check that it can earn or save what the business case needs.

How it works

Contracts are specified exactly, in REST, GraphQL, OData, IDoc, ISO 20022 or MCP, with sequence diagrams and error-reconciliation queues for every connected system.

  1. Alignment

Executive vision and measures of success, stakeholder mapping, and an audit of legacy systems and data.

  2. Architecture

Functional workflows, stack and cloud selection, and the API contracts with your ERP, banks and other systems.

  3. Prototyping

Interactive wireframes, a security and regulatory check, and a working technical proof of concept where needed.

  4. The ready-to-build pack

The Ready-to-Build Blueprint Pack is handed over for your decision, with the build price fixed in writing.

Technologies and standards

Every blueprint is written in open, vendor-neutral standards, from a TOGAF architecture to integration contracts any capable team can build to.

How to start

This is Track B, the Blueprint Studio, led by Strategy & Consulting. 100% of the Blueprint fee is credited toward the build when you choose XSIS to build it.

What happens next

  1. Readiness review

In a free 48-hour readiness review, a Principal Architect checks your project against the 6-point Definition of Ready and recommends the track that fits.

  2. Blueprint Studio

Structured workshops turn your goal into a ready-to-build blueprint. Tier 1 takes 1–2 weeks, Tier 2 3–4 weeks and Tier 3 4–6 weeks, each at a fixed fee quoted in the proposal.

  3. Ready-to-Build Blueprint Pack

You receive a Ready-to-Build Blueprint Pack of 6 deliverables: the product and functional specification, the architecture and technology stack blueprint, the integration and data contract specification, an interactive UI prototype, the security and regulatory matrix, and a binding fixed-price build proposal. You own 100% of the blueprint once the fee is paid, written in vendor-agnostic standards you can use with XSIS or with another provider.

  4. Fee credited to the build

100% of the Blueprint fee is credited toward the build when you choose XSIS to build it. The credit is valid for 60 calendar days after the blueprint is delivered, for a build contract of at least 8× the Blueprint fee.

Questions and answers

When do we need discovery rather than a proposal?

When you know the outcome you want but not the screens, workflows, integrations or stack. If you already have a clear RFP or specification, we can go straight to a proposal instead.

What do we receive at the end?

You receive a Ready-to-Build Blueprint Pack of 6 deliverables: the product and functional specification, the architecture and technology stack blueprint, the integration and data contract specification, an interactive UI prototype, the security and regulatory matrix, and a binding fixed-price build proposal. You own 100% of the blueprint once the fee is paid, written in vendor-agnostic standards you can use with XSIS or with another provider.

Who owns the blueprint?

You do, once each milestone is paid. The blueprint is written in vendor-neutral standards, so you can build it with us, with your own team or with another vendor.

Is the blueprint fee credited if XSIS builds it?

Yes. 100% of the Blueprint fee is credited toward the build when you choose XSIS to build it. The credit is valid for 60 calendar days after the blueprint is delivered, for a build contract of at least 8× the Blueprint fee. The credit is applied through a milestone credit note.

Can we see something working before we commit?

Yes. Clickable wireframes let stakeholders test the product. For complex AI or core systems, we also build a working proof of concept in a sandbox before the build is priced.

We are a public body bound by tender rules. Can you still help?

Yes. For ministries bound by conflict-of-interest rules, the work is structured as a pre-commercial feasibility study and POC pilot, or under a design-build prime contract.

Who from our side should join the workshops?

A sponsor who can make decisions, the people who own the business processes, and your technical leads for systems, data and security. We map the stakeholders with you at the start.

Have an idea, not yet a specification?

Blueprint Studio turns your goal into an architecture, a requirements document and a plan you can build from.
