Cloud and Application Security

Security checks run in the pipeline, before a release reaches production.

Why It Matters

Applications ship faster than a security team can review them. A dependency with a known flaw, an open storage bucket or a key in a repository is enough.

The gap is rarely a missing tool: security runs after the release, so the same flaws return with the next change.

What We Do

  • Security is part of how code is written, reviewed and released, with checks in the pipeline.

  • A list of every component in each release, with its version and any known flaw.

  • Settings and permissions are checked against your policy, and drift is raised.

  • Fixes reach the estate on a schedule, with a tested rollback and a named owner.

What Changes for You

  1. Every change is checked before release, so a known flaw does not reach production.

  2. You know what each release contains and which component has a known flaw.

  3. Drift is found and fixed, so a public bucket or open rule does not wait for an audit.

How the Work Runs

We work inside your delivery pipeline and your cloud accounts. You name the repositories, the accounts and the person who can approve an exception.

  1. Read the Pipeline and the Cloud

We review repositories, build jobs, cloud accounts, permissions and the current backlog. Your teams confirm which systems are in scope. The output is a list of repositories, accounts and current findings.

  2. Agree What Blocks a Release

We set which checks stop a release, which only warn, and who can approve an exception. You decide the risk your teams can carry. The rules are written into the pipeline, so every team sees the same bar.

  3. Add Checks to Delivery

We add secret scanning, dependency and container scans, a software bill of materials and infrastructure checks. Each finding names the component, the version and the fix. The pipeline fails on the findings you chose, and records the rest.

  4. Clear the Backlog

We fix or upgrade what is already exposed and remove secrets from history. Your teams accept, challenge or defer each finding. Each fix is linked to the finding and closed in the register.

  5. Keep It Current

We review exceptions, patch on a schedule and report drift in the cloud. You receive the register and the decisions for the next cycle. The report shows open exceptions, patch coverage and cloud drift.

Team and Engagement Options

Who works in your pipeline and cloud accounts, and what your engineers keep.

  • A lead engineer, a cloud engineer and a security engineer work on your pipeline and accounts.

  • We join your reviews and teach each check as we add it. Your engineers keep the code.

  • You receive the pipeline rules, exception register and runbooks, each with a named owner.

Platforms and Technologies

We work with the clouds and delivery tools your teams already use. AWS and Azure are the clouds we secure, and Kubernetes runs the containers that hold the app. Docker builds those containers, Terraform defines the cloud resources in code, and GitLab CI runs the release pipeline. HashiCorp Vault stores secrets, and a software bill of materials lists every component in a release, with its version.

Naming a product does not mean a partnership with its vendor.

Questions

What engineering and risk leaders ask before changing how software ships.

What drives the cost?

The number of repositories, pipelines and cloud accounts in scope, the state of the existing backlog and how many teams take part. Whether we also fix what we find changes the size of the engagement.

How do we start?

With one pipeline and one cloud account. The pilot proves the checks, the exception path and the reporting before other teams join.

What does application and cloud security work not cover?

We do not write your application code, run your incident response or replace endpoint and network security. We add controls to delivery and cloud, and connect to the teams that own the rest.

Who owns the code and the pipeline?

You do. We work in your repository under your review rules and hand over every configuration change. Our pipeline and cloud accounts are closed on the last day.

Do we need to replace our tools?

No. We use what you run where it gives the evidence we need. Where a gap remains, we name it before the work starts.
