Banking and Financial Services

Banking, payments and ledgers connected for real-time accuracy and regulatory scrutiny.

Why Financial Products Fail at the Connections

A financial product is rarely one system. It is a core ledger, card processing, identity checks, fraud screening, payment rails and an ERP behind them. The hard part is the connections between them, and what happens when one fails. We design those connections first, with the failure path written down.

  • Reporting That Cannot Slip

Each market asks for records in its own form and on its own timetable. We keep the evidence in the system and point you to the country guides for local detail.

  • Data That Cannot Leave

Regulated firms cannot send customer records to public AI services abroad. We design hosting, keys and model access around the rule you set.

  • Manual Reconciliation

Batch files and spreadsheets still sit between banks, processors and the ERP. We replace them with a matched record and an exception queue.

What Changes in the Ledger and the Audit

The work is finished when a posting, a fee and a settlement agree without a spreadsheet between them.

  1. Every posting, fee and settlement is reconciled as it arrives, with exceptions routed to a person.

  2. Each payment route has a tested failure path. A slow provider does not stop the flow.

  3. Access is limited and logged, and every change is traceable, before go-live.

  4. Every report links to the entries behind it. An auditor can rebuild a figure without asking for files.

What We Build, Connect and Secure

  • Payments and Ledger Integration

Postings, fees and statements joined to the ledger, with one reference from initiation to settlement.

  • Onboarding and Document Flow

Identity and document checks read, cross-checked and posted, with a person reviewing exceptions.

  • Lending and Wealth Portals

Application, servicing and portfolio views that work with the core system rather than replacing it.

  • Fraud and Screening Operations

Screening alerts, case tools and audit trails built around the decisions the team actually makes.

  • Core Banking and Cards

Core ledgers, card processors and payment switches through their supported interfaces.

  • Payment Rails and Open Banking

Payment messages, card networks and consented account links, with the format confirmed per provider.

  • ERP and Treasury

Cash, invoice and statement flows joined to the ERP and treasury systems with one reference.

  • Access and Audit

Named roles, least privilege and an immutable log of every privileged action.

  • Data Residency

Records and keys kept in the region the contract names, with the route documented.

  • Reconciliation Evidence

Each matched item keeps its source, rule and reviewer, so the control can be shown.

How the Work Is Organised

We build and connect the software that banks, payment firms, lenders, wealth managers, insurers and wallet providers run. The work sits between the core system and the channels, not inside a replacement programme.

Regulated work has a longer review than most. Access, data paths and failure behaviour are written down before a release, so risk and compliance teams review the design rather than a finished system.

How the Work Runs

We start with the connections that carry the most risk and prove them in a test environment. The existing posting route runs in parallel until the entries match, and a finance reviewer signs off the switch.

  1. Map the Flows

You give us system owners, message samples and the failure history. We map the flows and the failure paths.

  2. Design the Contract

You decide the source of record, the cutover window and the fallback. We write the interface contract and the test plan.

  3. Rehearse the Switch

You provide test accounts and a finance reviewer. We run the cycles in parallel and compare the entries.

  4. Run and Reconcile

You accept the service levels. We watch the flows, reconcile the first cycles and report on the checks you chose.

Platforms and Technologies

We build on the platforms your estate and your suppliers already use. The pages explain what each platform covers.

Questions and Answers

Can you work inside a regulated environment?

Yes. Access, data paths and audit evidence are part of the design. Your risk and compliance teams review the design before we release.

Do you replace the core banking system?

Not by default. We wrap and extend the core through its supported interfaces, and replace it only when you decide the limits justify it.

How do you handle card data?

We keep card data out of your systems where we can, through tokenisation and hosted fields. Where it must be handled, we build to the controls your assessor will test.

What Happens Next

  1. Agreeing a Time

Our team emails you to agree a time for the session.

  2. Pre-Consulting Session

A free 30-minute online pre-consulting session: we go through your goals, systems and constraints.

  3. Readiness Review

In a free 48-hour Readiness Review, a Principal Architect checks your project against What we need before we start and recommends the track that fits.

  4. Choosing the Track

Scope-ready projects receive a binding proposal within 3 to 5 business days. Concept-stage projects start with Discovery and Design. A live system that is failing, undocumented or needs integration starts with the Live System Review of 1 to 2 weeks. Discovery and Design and the Live System Review each have a fixed fee, quoted in the proposal.
