Cloud and DevOps

Cloud platforms and delivery pipelines you can run with confidence

Cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability and cost control on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Overview

Many delivery problems are not in the code. They are in manual deployments, environments nobody can rebuild, alerts nobody reads and cloud bills nobody can explain. Cloud and DevOps work fixes those.

We design cloud platforms on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, define them as code with Terraform, and automate the path from a commit to production with tested pipelines. Workloads run in containers on Kubernetes or on managed services, whichever is simpler for your team to operate.

We build in observability from the start: logs, metrics and traces through OpenTelemetry, dashboards that answer real questions, and alerts tied to what users experience. Cost is tracked per team and per service, so spending decisions are made with data.

What we deliver

  1. Platform assessment

A review of your current infrastructure, deployments, security and costs, with the risks ranked.

  2. Cloud foundation

Accounts or subscriptions, networks, identity and guardrails set up, so new workloads start secure.

  3. Infrastructure as code

Every environment defined in Terraform and reviewed like application code, so it can be rebuilt on demand.

  4. CI/CD pipelines

Build, test, security scanning and deployment automated, with approvals where your controls require them.

  5. Container platform

Kubernetes clusters or managed container services, with deployment templates your teams can reuse.

  6. Observability

Logs, metrics, traces, dashboards and alerts that tell your team what is wrong and where.

  7. Backup and recovery

Backups, tested restores and a recovery plan for the failures that matter most to your business.

  8. Cost reporting

Spending tagged and reported by team and by service, with the savings we find listed and ranked.

How we work

  1. 01

    Assess

We review what runs today, how it is deployed, what it costs and where it is fragile.

  2. 02

    Design the target

We agree the target platform, the order of migration and the controls it must meet.

  3. 03

    Build the foundation

We set up accounts, networks, identity, guardrails and pipelines, all as code.

  4. 04

    Move workloads

We migrate or rebuild workloads one at a time, with a rollback path for each.

  5. 05

    Operate and observe

We run the platform with your team, tune the alerts and fix the causes of incidents.

  6. 06

    Optimise

We review cost, performance and security regularly, and act on what we find.

Ways to work with us

Questions and answers

Which cloud provider should we use?

Usually the one you already use, unless there is a clear reason to change. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud all run enterprise workloads well. The deciding factors are your existing contracts and skills, the managed services you need, data-residency rules and how your other systems connect. We work across all three and keep provider-specific code to the places where it is worth it.

What drives the cost of a cloud and DevOps engagement?

The number of applications and environments, how far they are from automated deployment today, the compliance controls you must meet, and whether workloads move between providers or out of your own data centre. Ongoing operation is a separate decision: we can run the platform with you, or hand it over once your team is ready.

Can you reduce our cloud bill?

Often, but we will not promise a figure before we have looked. Common savings come from resources nobody uses, oversized instances, storage that never expires and environments that run when nobody is working. We tag spending by team and service first, so savings are measured rather than guessed, and we rank what we find by effort and risk.

Will moving to the cloud cause downtime?

We plan each move to avoid it, or to keep it short and scheduled. Workloads move one at a time, data is synchronised before the switch, and every step has a rollback path. Where an application cannot run in two places at once, we agree a maintenance window with you in advance and rehearse the switch first.

How do you secure the cloud platform?

Identity comes first: single sign-on, least-privilege roles and no shared credentials. Networks are segmented, data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and secrets live in a managed vault. Guardrails block insecure configurations before they are deployed, pipelines scan code and images for known vulnerabilities, and audit logs are kept where nobody can alter them.

Will our team be able to run the platform afterwards?

That is the aim. Everything is defined as code and documented, and your engineers review and approve changes with us from the start. We pair with them on incidents and releases, write runbooks for the common tasks, and step back as they take over. If you prefer us to keep running the platform, that can continue under a support agreement.

Can you monitor and support the platform after go-live?

Yes. Under a support agreement we watch the alerts, respond to incidents within the response times we agree with you, apply security patches and keep the platform’s tools current. Every significant incident gets a written review of its cause and of the change that stops it happening again.

Where is our data stored and processed?

Where you decide. We agree the location of data before work starts and design for it, whether it must stay in one country, in your own cloud account or on your premises. Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we work under a data processing agreement and limit personal data to what the work needs.
