Machine learning
Models that predict, classify and detect, trained on your own data
Forecasting, scoring, classification and anomaly detection, from feature engineering to monitored production models.
Overview
Machine learning earns its place when a decision is made many times a day from data you already hold: whether a transaction looks like fraud, how much stock a store will need, which application needs a closer look. A good model makes those decisions faster and more consistently than rules alone.
We build forecasting, scoring, classification and anomaly-detection models, starting from a simple baseline so every gain is measured against something real. We engineer features from your transactional and operational data, choose the simplest model that meets the target, and explain how it reaches its results.
A model is only useful in production. We package it with its data pipeline, serve it through an API or batch job your systems can call, and monitor it for drift so you know when it needs retraining before its results degrade.
What we deliver
Problem definition
The decision the model supports, the target it predicts, the cost of each kind of error and the measure of success.
Feature pipeline
Reproducible features built from your data, with the same logic in training and in production.
Baseline and benchmark
A simple rule or model to beat, so you can see exactly what machine learning adds.
Trained and validated model
A model tested on data it has not seen, with results broken down by segment, period and error type.
Explanations
Reasons for individual results and an overview of what drives the model, in terms your reviewers understand.
Model serving
A real-time API or scheduled batch job, versioned and tested, that your applications call.
Training pipeline
Automated retraining with experiment tracking, so any model in production can be traced to its data and code.
Drift and performance monitoring
Alerts when input data or results shift, with the evidence needed to decide whether to retrain.
How we work
- 01
Define the decision
We agree what is predicted, how it will be used and how errors are weighed with the people who own the decision.
- 02
Explore the data
We assess history, quality, labels and leakage risks, and confirm the data can support the target.
- 03
Set a baseline
We build the simplest credible approach and measure it, so improvements are real.
- 04
Develop and validate
We engineer features, compare models and validate on held-out periods, with your experts reviewing the errors.
- 05
Deploy
We put the model behind an API or batch job, run it in shadow mode beside the current process, then switch over.
- 06
Monitor and retrain
We track drift and results in production and retrain on a schedule or when monitoring shows it is needed.

Questions and answers
How much data do we need?
It depends on the problem, not on a fixed amount. What matters is enough history to cover the patterns the model must learn, including seasons and rare events, and reliable labels for the outcome you want to predict. We check this during the data review and tell you plainly if the data cannot support the target yet, and what to collect so it can.
Link to this questionCan we explain the model’s decisions to auditors and customers?
Yes, and we design for it from the start where decisions affect people, such as credit or claims. We prefer models whose reasoning can be explained, provide reasons for individual results, and document the data, features, validation and limits of each model version. That documentation supports your model-risk and regulatory reviews.
Link to this questionHow do you check for bias?
We agree with you which groups and outcomes matter for the decision, then measure error rates and results across them on held-out data. Where differences appear, we investigate the data and features behind them and discuss the trade-offs with your team. Fairness checks are rerun with every retraining, not only at launch.
Link to this questionWhat happens when the model stops performing?
Monitoring shows it before the business feels it. We track the input data and the model’s results against what it saw in training, and alert when they shift. Your team then sees the evidence and decides whether to retrain, adjust thresholds or fall back to rules. Retraining runs through the same tested pipeline as the original model.
Link to this questionWhat drives the cost of a machine learning project?
The main drivers are the state and accessibility of your data, whether labels exist or must be created, how many systems the model must connect to, and the level of explanation and documentation your regulators expect. Running costs depend on prediction volume and whether results are needed in real time or in batches. We estimate once the data review is done.
Link to this questionHow long until a model is in production?
The baseline and first validated model come early, so you can judge the value before the production work. Getting to production depends on data access, integration with the systems that use the result, shadow running beside the current process and any model-risk review. We give you a plan after the data review, with the decision points marked.
Link to this questionWho owns the models and features?
Intellectual property in the work we build for you is yours from the first commit — no assignment step at the end. That includes the trained models, feature code, pipelines and documentation produced for you, and your data stays yours. Any XSIS tools that existed before stay ours and are licensed to you. Open-source libraries we use remain under their own licences, which we record for you.
